"6TH DISTRICT COUNTY COURT HOUSE"
San Francisco CA - 2007 INSTALL
![]()
The “6th District County Court House” in San Francisco California was experiencing multiple problems with the “Roof Drain” system of this 250 year old, 6 story building. This building was one of only two buildings greater than 6 stories to survive the earthquake of 1906. The historical value of this building is vital to the local heritage. It was decided that US Sewer & Drain had the level of experience the state was looking for to oversee the job. Twenty roof drains in all were in need of pipelining. Each line was 6 inch’s in diameter and dropped directly down between the old plaster walls of the building about 90 feet. Trying to replace these pipes with conventional methods would have been a nightmare. Because the pipelining equipment could not be mobilized through the building a “crane” or “lift” was brought in. This allowed the crew to get the equipment on the roof. With in a few days all twelve of the lines had been successfully replaced with 6 inch diameter x 4mm thick cured-in-place pipelining. US Sewer & Drain looks forward to going more work for the state of California. Bring it on. Our guys love pipelining!
