The resturant located inside of the five star Rittenhouse Hotel, had been experiencing sewer back up's from their kitchen area located on the second floor. The kitchen happens to be located directly above the lobby area of the Rittenhouse. When the sewer line on the second floor would experience back up, it would ultimately leak through the ceiling of the prestigious hotel.
As local union plumbers were set to rip open the second floor kitchen as well as the ceiling of the Lobby, restaurant managers and hotel president David Benton met with Robert Tinder, president of US Sewer. Mr. Tinder asked only that the plumbers on site post pone for 12 hours. Further more he offered that if US Sewer could not fix the problem by 8am the following morning and with no need for demolition, there would be no charge. The decision was made to let US Sewer install the liner. By 8am the following morning a 68 foot by 4inch diameter pipe line had been installed with no evidence of leaking from the second floor.
